We are excited to share the upcoming brainstorming, connection-making, networking, calendar-setting JAY meeting with you all! This is an idea we've been working on for awhile as a way to work collaboratively and efficiently with other youth-serving agencies in our community. We all do amazing work with kids every day, but summer is our big deal time, right? How can we effectively serve the needs of our youth without reinventing the wheel? The goals of this meeting are to:
- meet those working directly with youth
- plan programs and events that don't conflict with other groups' events
- collaborate on programming where there is a need
- play off of our strengths
- maximize our efforts
Please share with those in your organization that may benefit from this meeting. Also, this would be a great opportunity to introduce potential JAY members to our group. Share it out!
This meeting will be a brown bag lunch (BYO-lunch) on
Wednesday, February 12
11 am-1 pm
Joliet Public Library - Ottawa Street Branch (150 N. Ottawa St) - Joliet Room
Bring your calendar, and be prepared to share ideas for this summer - both big and small. Please let me know if you have any questions. I'm looking forward to a productive time together!
